Befs beats me to the PC again. I chose to fall asleep on the sofa watching
Star Trek. Good day on the lake. Bought some NP mitten gloves as it was
mighty cold today - they worked well - I kept swapping my fingers in and
out of the pockets to avoid aching arms. To start with, about 11ish I was
overpowered at times sailing from the beach to the point on the left, and
beaching in the soft mud to turn. Did some nice jumps on purpose, one of
which I went skyward on the starboard tack and landed in a heap with a
bruised shin. Later it got quite gusty with a major variation in wind
speed. BEFS & I struggled to get back to shore and got dumped backward in a
lull, then couldn't even hang onto the sail waterstarting a minute later -
crazy. Then Mike arrived, "yes 5.5 is OK - but Tony wrekons it will
drop".... and it did but not that much. So after the obligatory bacon & egg
roll I was out again for another hour just sailing back & forth practicing
gybing as I approached the shore. One run back to the beach I decided not
to, and stayed on for too long, I got off the back but the board & rig
managed to make dry land, much to the onlookers amusement. Packed about 2
when Denise arrived to pick me up after her trip to the retail park for
some therapy.
Good day, good people, good sport. I'm happy.
